SARA DOMVILLE, CEO & Publisher With over 25 years in publishing and media, Sara, the founder of Salty Days Media, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Formerly the Chief Revenue Officer of America’s Test Kitchen and President of F+W Media, she has a proven track record of strategic and technical excellence. As the founder of Digital Book World and ATK Kids, her innovative vision has shaped new business development through partnerships and channel strategies.
Having successfully built and sold 8 businesses, Sara is an authority in creating and developing global publishing ecosystems. Her Amazon AMS expertise and significant network in the media, food, and beverage industries further enhance Salty Days Media’s capabilities. This extensive background ensures that Salty Days Media can provide unparalleled insights and opportunities for brands and entrepreneurs, driving success through collaboration and innovation.
KIM LAIDLAW is a New York Times best-selling cookbook author, editor, and recipe developer. She is the author or coauthor of eleven cookbooks, including bestsellers Yellowstone: The Official Dutton Ranch Family Cookbook, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas cookbook, Emily in Paris: The Official Cookbook, Five Marys Ranch Raised Cookbook, along with Clueless: The Official Cookbook, the upcoming The Rocky Horror Cookbook, and numerous Williams Sonoma cookbooks. With over 24 years of experience in book publishing and packaging, Kim has managed hundreds of cookbook projects, including Kendall-Jackson’s SEASON, winner of the 2019 IACP Book of the Year Award. She is a recipe developer and tester working with international brands, celebrities, chefs, bloggers, and cookbook authors. Her clients include Salty Days Media, Samuel Adams, Disney, Paramount, Netflix, Weber, Hog Island, KitchenAid, American Girl, and Impossible Foods. She is a former professional baker and baking instructor at the San Francisco Cooking School and owns Cast Iron Media, LLC. Kim lives in Petaluma, California, with her Scottish husband, their always-entertaining daughter, and a bountiful home garden.
ALI ZEIGLER is a creative director in the Boston area. With more than a decade of experience creating a huge range of compelling, beautiful books, magazines
and digital content, she’s worked with everything from food and fashion to rock
stars and yoga teachers. Originally from the East Coast, her passion for editorial design led to her the San Francisco Bay Area in the late ‘90s, where she served as art director at Weldon Owen publishing—creating and designing cookbooks for Williams-Sonoma and Brooklyn-based chefs, the Sussman brothers—and at Yoga Journal magazine and Music Player network, where she was the creative force behind numerous new and existing magazines. She has produced photoshoots, created print pieces and art directed images and video for a range of clients including FitBit, Kendall-Jackson, American Girl, Weber and Milk Street. Ali founded and launched Weekend Almanac, an innovative lifestyle publication
dedicated to urban leisure time, which was featured on Design*Sponge and
could be found at discerning outlets like Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and
independent boutiques worldwide. In 2019, Ali returned to the East Coast with
her husband, daughter and very excitable dog, Pancake.
MICHAEL PIAZZA is a food, portrait, and lifestyle photographer and director based in Boston, Massachusetts. Originally from California, Michael studied art history and film before moving to New York City and finding his passion for photography. His lifelong love of cooking and collecting cookbooks inevitably led him to food photography. In addition to being a freelance photographer and director, Michael is the Chief Photographer and Creative Director of Edible Boston magazine. I also contribute to magazines such as Food&Wine, New York Times Magazine, Whole Foods Magazine, Down East, and Yankee Magazine.

Michael’s recent work on cookbooks include Our American Dream Cookbook by Jennifer Glanville Love, Two If By Sea with Barton Seaver and Double Awesome Chinese Food by Andrew, Irene, and Margaret Li. Commercially, he produces work with Shark/Ninja, Megafood Vitamins, New Wave Foods, and Trask.
CHRISTINE TOBIN is a leader in the craft of food styling for major motion films, television and editorial work. As a Culinary Creative, Christine works holistically with her clients from recipe development and consultation to on-set execution and presentation of beautiful food. As a trained artist and culinarian, Christine has a passion for food as a powerful food in storytelling and is an active lecturer on this subject across the globe. Both Rachel and Laura are valued members of her culinary team. Christine resides in Boston with her two teenage children and was responsible for the incredible food styling on Our American Dream Cookbook.
JOY HOWARD is a food stylist, cookbook author, and recipe developer. Her book writing credits include Tomato Love and Disney Eats, as well as several other titles as co-author and collaborator. She frequently styles both book and magazine projects for America’s Test Kitchen, and her styling work can also be found in editorial and commercial work for clients such as Nestle Tollhouse, Ten Speed, Publix Supermarkets, CoffeeMate, and Siggi’s, among others. For five years Joy wrote a column about kids and cooking for the beloved print edition of
EatingWell, and was also a contributing editor at Parents. Prior to freelancing, Joy honed her culinary and publishing skills as a magazine food editor, developing original recipe content, styling images for print and video, managing an on-site test kitchen, and occasionally serving as on-air radio and television talent.
With her extensive experience in both culinary visuals and recipe development, Joy brings a versatile approach to her work that considers the myriad ways that people engage with food. Joy is currently working on the yet to be published, HELLOFRESH COOKBOOK.
CHRIS HEMESATH is the owner of Steelhead Book Services, a book production and print management company. Steelhead works with a select group of custom-focused publishers who produce only high-quality titles that need hands on and extremely reliable schedule, prepress, print, freight forwarding, and fulfillment management. Chris formerly worked in the production departments for Chronicle Books and Weldon Owen, Inc for a combined 20 years before launching Steelhead in 2018.
HUMPHREY DOMVILLE, is a senior at the University of Alabama’s business school, where he studies marketing. Humphrey has played a pivotal role in designing the Salty Days website and crafting comprehensive marketing strategies for our book, encompassing everything from social media to new Salty Days partnerships. His innovative approach has brought a fresh perspective to our culinary content, influencing content strategies to resonate with beginner chefs. “We also want to express our appreciation to Salty Days Media intern Humphrey Domville for his invaluable support in marketing and digital development,” says Jennifer Glanville Love of Boston Beer.
MARTA LOEB is a Stanford-trained consumer expert and the former Brand Director at America’s Test Kitchen. She was the Managing Partner of an Agency start-up acquired by public company and managed $700M donuts & bakery business for Dunkin’ Donuts. Marta has 15+ years brand management consulting and a pioneer in customer-centric product development. She is an ardent customer voice advocate with proven consumer products and media expertise specifically in the food & beverage industry.
SHIRLEY FAIRCLOUGH a graduate of the University of Salford, Manchester (UK) with a joint honors degree in Modern Languages. Shirley worked for a translation company in Paris before moving to Milan, where she taught English and translated travel books published by Hoepli. She then spent 25 years working for UNESCO at a research center in Italy aimed at training scientists from developing nations to transmit their knowledge to students in their home countries, limit the “brain drain” and support new science teachers and entrepreneurs in areas where even basic education is often a luxury. She lives in north-east Italy near the Collio wine region between the borders with Veneto, Austria and Slovenia. Shirley and Sara have been best friends since they were 12 years old!
RACHEL MICHAEL is a freelance recipe developer, tester, and culinary lead for both editorial and film productions. She works both in her hometown of Boston and also New York. She started her professional culinary work after graduating from culinary school in San Francisco and moving to Brooklyn. When she’s not working she enjoys cooking with her daughters and culinary play dates with friends.
LAURA SUI is an emerging culinary assistant with years of professional kitchen experience and a life long passion for food. As a second generation Chinese-American, her family would say “are you hungry?” as synonymous with “I love you”. She believes that sharing beautiful food with loved ones is the best way to share our stories and culture.
BENEDICT DOMVILLE our Social Media Specialist, is a Freshman at Bryant University and has expertly managed and grown all of Salty Days Media’s social media accounts since their inception in August 2024. A digital native and a talented senior in high school, Benedict consistently delivers engaging content, including stories, reels, and posts, all following best practices in social media strategy. His creativity and dedication have made a significant impact on the company’s online presence in a very short space of time .
